About Tampa Family Health Centers
Located at 5611 Sheldon Rd, Tampa, FL 33615, Tampa Family Health Centers operates as a medical clinic serving Tampa in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Tampa, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Florida, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.

Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Tampa is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My experience with Dr. Simona Ivanov was absolutely unacceptable. This was, without question, the most unprofessional, dismissive, and uncooperative dental provider I have ever encountered. I came to the office in pain and needing treatment, but Dr. Ivanov refused to treat me because of a βsyndromeβ listed in my medical chart. I had never been informed of this diagnosis, do not know where it came from, and repeatedly explained that, to the best of my knowledge, I do not have this condition. I even had the exact same procedure performed at this same center only a few months earlier by a different provider without any problems. But Dr. Ivanov wants to send me to an oral surgeon to remove a tiny piece, not even a whole tooth. Despite everything I explained including that I needed treatment through the centerβs sliding-scale program, Dr. Ivanov showed no willingness to listen, investigate the questionable diagnosis, or help me find a solution. Instead, I was left in pain and made to feel humiliated and judged. The way I was treated was so dismissive and disrespectful that I honestly left feeling as though discrimination or racial bias may have played a role. Since then, I have conta

Had a great visit. The staff was all very attentive and helpful. I was seen in a very timely manner and all of my needs were met with no problems at all!

DO NOT come here if you are pregnant and looking for a stress-free prenatal experience! This is my fourth pregnancy, first time using TFHC for prenatal care, and one of my biggest regrets. First, they offered to help submit a pregnancy-related insurance application on my behalf which I initially thought was so nice and helpfulβ¦unfortunately, that individual neglected to confirm the information she was submitting and led to an application submission with an incorrect DOB which caused administrative delays for nearly 8 weeks. Mind you, I was told itβd be 30 days max. Next, upon expressing feelings and symptoms of prenatal depression, they provided a referral for their behavioral health services; however, obtaining an appointment with them was an absolute nightmare which only exasperated my mental health state. Then, they provided a referral to SJWH for a 20-week anatomy ultrasound scan and urged me to schedule asap as they are often several weeks out for booking these appointments. I tried to call the phone number listed on the referral for weeks with no answer or returned calls after leaving multiple messages. I ultimately Googled another number for the hospital and explained my iss

I have been trying to schedule my anatomy scan since I was 19 weeks pregnant I'm now 22 weeks and guess what? No anatomy scan scheduled. The hospital where I'm supposed to have my scan along with my self have called and emailed DAILY!!!! Still they have yet to email all the correct paperwork for me to schedule my scan. Been almost a month. I'm about to be due for my next obgyn appointment I'm about to try and switch locations because this is a nightmare!!!!! **Update they called me to "apologize" which was them just blaming me for not taking time to anticipate them not doing their jobs and going in person to request my files, then taking them to the hospital myself. Because I should have known they don't answer the phones or reply to emails from me and the hospital DAILY and that even though they said they would send the paperwork they actually wouldn't. It's 100% my fault for that. Oh by the way they finally sent the paperwork after I left this review so they should be given grace as well because it only took 3 weeks and again I should have done it myself. Why are you all employed or being paid? Should I also do my own blood work and examination? Ohhhh plus now my hospital is full

If zero was an option for this location. I can only wish. Go in for a scheduled appointment with a 6 month old and takes 5hrs of waiting. Try to go back a year later and her father, who is approved to take her, is told they do not have the paperwork on file I have already filled out. Get a day long wait if you scheduled 1st thing when they open. Or get told no if you scheduled when they no longe feel like taking patients. The staff is rude and condescending. If I could have found another doctor to take our insurance I never would have tried again. This is the most pathetic office I have ever experienced in my life, not just office staff, but even doctors. I've never been so appalled. How does one keep 6 month old happy for 5hrs after her appointment was to begin? How does one send the father with the baby and told papers aren't on file that have been uploaded for him to take their baby? Because they book 10 ppl per time slot and they will not stay till closing if they can find a way to avoid it. I will be taking this a high up as possible. Since the loss of the new west hillsborough location pediatrician, as always, thanks for being as worthless as possible tfhc. 41 years of life
